How the pavilion is built

A building without iron

A magnetic observatory must contain no iron at all. For its non-magnetic pavilions the institute developed its own composite fibreglass materials.

Magnetic field data

One-minute records of the magnetic field at GLK are sent to the INTERMAGNET data centre as they are measured. Plot the last day, week or month, or download the data.
